The fully renovated Dikti Tavern offers traditional Cretan dishes in a true family environment
since 1976. Jannis Verigos established the tavern in the mid-1970s with the aim of providing
visitors and locals with Cretan food made only with local, pure ingredients. We have been
one of the first taverns in Lasithi and one of only two to operate without interruption since
the 1970s.
The place was renovated in 2012 with extensive use of stone and wood, aiming to
blend the tavern’s traditional essence with the functionality necessary to accommodate the
needs and taste of today’s customer while also blending with the village and the wonderful
landscape. Dine in a cosy and elegant environment, enjoying photos and wall-mounted
artifacts that belong to Lasithi from a bygone era.

Building on family tradition, Manolis – having
studied cooking and food preparation and worked in a number of other establishments prior
to taking over at Dikti – offers a renewed menu which utilizes only the best local ingredients
and responds to the highest standards expected in a demanding culinary environment.
